Brian Klein: I was raised in Davis, a small college town in Northern California, after my family moved from the bustling suburbs of Los Angeles some six hours south. But even in moving to a town known globally for it's abhorration of automobiles, the "California car culture" that had been fostered by my grandfather and father stuck with with throughout my life. I always had an eye for creativity, and illustrated a comic book that I co-created with a classmate in the third grade about two cartoon dogs that had an adventure to the moon. There were three issues in total, and two still survive today. By junior high, however, my traditional drawing skills had peaked and waned, at which time I discovered Adobe Photoshop, which would launch my interest in vector graphics. I graduated from the University of California, Davis in 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in History, and currently work on that campus as a Computer Resource Specialist. My design method is different from some, and involves a lot of client feedback and idea-sharing. This helps the customer feel more involved with the creative process, and allows them to more completely get their idea onto paper. |
